I loved how quiet the whole landscape became and I loved the peace and tranquility it would bring. I especially loved it when there was a sign of life in the snow. The signs of life could be a bird who hadn't migrated south or a small animal looking for food or playing in the snow. Seeing those little things brought a promise that there would be an end to winter's stark beauty and that a renewal of life would eventually begin.
