This sculpture has a special place in my heart. It was the first larger sized sculptures I ever did, and it was the first sculpture I sold. This is where I got interested in landscapes, as I had never been very interested before. When I found that I could bring all kinds of depth into a landscape and use various effects with lighting both in the painting itself and with lamps, it became fascinating. So, this was a turning point for me in both size and subject matter.
