Any Questions?
Trevor Southey was one of my first college-level oil paint professors. He also gave me a huge complement on one of my student paintings when I was a freshman, and that put him forever in my heart. i admired and loved his style of art. I often wondered how I could put his influence into my sculptures, so that is what I tried to do in this sculpture of Roses in the Mist. I had no idea how I would do three-dimensional mist while painting on glass, and how I would make that mist three-dimensional. After some experimenting, this is the result. I have to admit, the result was better than I imaged! The mist comes across as three-dimensional and gives this sculpture a little more edgy feel than my usual landscapes and such. This is the first of this style with many more to come.
